Palmers Brewery, owners of The Three Cups in Lyme Regis, are undertaking further detailed survey work on the back of the building.
Surveyors will be removing overhanging slates on the rear of the property to investigate the fabric of the building beneath.
The reports are part of a detailed survey process that began in January. When completed, all reports will be submitted to West Dorset District Council.
Palmers plan to hold a second public consultation later this year before making a planning application to regenerate the site.
