Bank holiday bonanza sees Palmers set for record beer sales

Sales of Palmers’ beer shot up over the hot weekend and the brewery has added extra brews to keep up with bank holiday demand. An increase in visitors to the area staying in local hotels and holiday parks along with local residents taking advantage of the bank holidays has also been attributed to the demand.

Head Brewer Darren Batten said: ‘This has been one of the busiest Easters we can ever remember. We predicted the two consecutive bank holidays would mean increase in demand and we have been brewing flat out to keep up. Our telesales office and transport team have been working hard as well.

‘We have put on three extra brews in two weeks of Dorset Gold, Copper Ale and Palmers 200.

‘We expect sales to continue to climb as people raise a pint of Palmers fine ale to toast the Royal Wedding on Friday.’
