The Pilot Boat

relaunches

Set at the edge of the beach in the beautiful and historic coastal town of Lyme Regis, the Pilot Boat has just been relaunched following a nine-month project by Palmers Brewery to rejuvenate the iconic grade II listed building back to life as a lifestyle destination pub & restaurant with roof terrace and bedrooms.

The pilot boat offers a wide range of all-day dining options from the huge open plan kitchen and pizza oven, artisan coffee from early morning, and of course a full range of Palmers award winning ale.

The glass fronted main bar opens out to an enclosed lower courtyard giving a real inside-out feel during the hot summer months when a cool pint or quick lunch time bite to eat are in order.

Overlooking the courtyard and the sea beyond lies the sun trap roof terrace with an additional 90 seats to relax during the day and dine out during the twilight hours with full table service of sharing platters, prosecco, cocktails alike.

Where the old trading space lay there is now an informal pub area- perfect for a pit stop from the beach or a quiet retreat with Bloody Mary and Sunday papers.

At the back of the pub lies the main attraction: a 110 seater restaurant with open plan kitchen with pizza oven aimed at destination dining, with a standalone bar and intimate table service.

The kitchen is open from breakfast to bedtime, with table service throughout the building. The menus focus on a casual grazing, pizza and modern classics in the pub, impulse snacking and beer bites in the bar and destination dishes such as Fruit de Mer sharers, locally caught seafood, half roast corn fed lemon chicken and vegetarian and vegan options of wild mushroom Maska and goats cheese frittata in the restaurant.

The pub now has the additional benefit of three beautifully appointed boutique letting rooms- all complete with oversize bathrooms, 4k television, mini bars and stunning views out to sea.

The new Pilot Boat welcomes all, and looks forward to welcoming all during their maiden voyage this summer.
