John Palmer, Three Cups Consultation

Further reports requested on Three Cups

Palmers Brewery, owners of The Three Cups in Broad Street, Lyme Regis, have been asked by West Dorset District Council and English Heritage to provide more detailed information about development plans for the site.

The request for additional material is part of the process of preparing for the next public consultation and subsequent planning application.

The material includes further survey work on the potential impact of any proposals on the neighbouring properties, more detail about engineering issues and further analysis of the listed building issues.

Nigel Jones of Chesterton Humberts, Palmers’ property agents said:

‘We are commissioning the reports immediately, but given the level of detail required, this may delay the timetable as originally envisaged.

‘Palmers still plan to submit a planning application for the site in 2011, after a second public consultation.’
