Celebrating 230 years of brewing

Palmers Beer Festival

BOOK NOW

In celebration of our 230th Anniversary, we are hosting a beer festival in the brewery’s historic, covered yard.

With live music and food at all three sessions, it’s set to be bigger and better than ever before. The festival will be held on the following dates, in line with the end of Cask Ale Week:

Friday 27th September – 6pm-10.30pm

Saturday 28th September – 11am-4pm

Saturday 28th September – 6pm-10.30pm

Food at all three sessions will be provided by Fossil Food Catering.

Steve and Kirsty are on the Devon/Dorset/Somerset border and are renowned in the catering industry. You may have tasted their Fossil on the Road burgers or HenShed fried chicken!

Music at all three sessions will be from guitarist Ben Gittins, landlord of The Ship Inn, Lyme Regis, who has a huge history in performing. Alongside singer Tilly, multi talented Mike and saxophonist Rob, we’re sure they’ll be a hit!

The festival is being supported with ales from fellow Independent Family Brewers, and all proceeds will go into our Palmers Brewery Community Fund.

The fund works to support our local community and charitable organisations that help keep West Dorset one of the best places to live, visit and explore.

Not-for-profit organisations can apply for match funding of up to £2,000 from Palmers via Crowdfunder; more information can be found here.

To book your beer festival tickets, please follow the link and choose your session. Ticket prices include entry to one of three sessions, a commemorative tankard, and your first pint. Children’s tickets are available for the Saturday afternoon session.

So come and join us at the Palmers Beer Festival for a weekend of fun, live music, tasty food and BEER! (Other beverages will also be available)

A story of family, heritage, quality… and beer.

Palmers ales are brewed in one of Britain’s oldest and prettiest breweries and have been since 1794. The only thatched brewery in the UK, Palmers sits adjacent to the river Brit just a mile from Dorset’s Jurassic Coast. All our fine ales are brewed using water from our own naturally rising spring.

Our Head Brewer uses only the finest Maris Otter malt and carefully selected whole leaf hops to produce ales in a way they have been made for generations. Palmers historic brewhouse has a traditional Mash Tun, an open top Copper, along with top fermentation, this is the way ale should be brewed.
