Palmers 2023 Cellar Champions crowned

Gary & Karen Needs, licensees at the Axminster Inn and David & Karin Gilbert, licensees at the The Crown at Uploders – joint Palmers Cellar Champions 2023.

Each year Palmers licensees are subjected to a rigorous audit process by our in house Cellar Technical Team, who score the pubs on their cellar management and quality of their draught dispense from cask to glass. This year there was a tie for top place so the two pubs will be sharing the trophy.

Draught beer and especially cask conditioned real ale is one of the unique selling points of the British pub. Managing a cellar and serving consistently excellent draught ales, lagers and ciders is at the heart of being a successful licensee.
