‘In addition to these tangible accolades,’ added Jayson Perfect, Palmers Tenanted Trade Director, ‘this award recognises the success Paul has had developing a team to run and grow one of the region’s busiest pubs. Paul has fostered a great team spirit at the business and by encouraging several of his key members to take an active role on social media, promoting the pub and their offer he has created a digital presence and following that is second to none in our estate.’

‘This is backed up with a relentless attention to detail, on menus, advertising and marketing, all promoted on a modern and up-to-the-minute website and app.

‘As a result, a pub which has always been hugely popular is now a brand that visitors and locals associate with and which is now one of the go to destinations in the South West, with a reputation that extends well beyond our corner of West Dorset, drawing in visitors to the area from far and wide.’

‘I am very privileged to have such a talented and enthusiastic team, whose hard work over the last two years has made these awards possible,’ said Paul.

‘All of us at the Anchor continually strive to ensure that every visitor goes away with amazing memories of the food and drink, the incredible coastline and their time in West Dorset.’
