Incredible News to Share

Having been at the helm of the Ilchester Arms for less than a year, Paul and Ariana have been awarded the AA Rosette for culinary excellence. Since taking over the pub in November 2024, the team have had their sights set on greatness. This award shows their enthusiasm for great food, warm hospitality, and locally sourced ingredients shines through in every dish.

Winning an AA Rosette is no small feat — it recognises outstanding quality, consistency, and innovation in the kitchen. It highlights the establishments that stand out in their local area. To earn this award in under a year, alongside being named Pub of the Year is a testament to the hard work, talent, and passion of the entire team.

Pub of the Year Award

Not only have they earned the AA Rosette, the pub has also been crowned Pub of the Year at the Food Lifestyle Award 2025. The aim of these awards is to recognise the best in many different categories, across the whole of the Southwest. An incredible achievement which has stood them in good stead for winning future awards. They said:

“We couldn’t be prouder of our incredible team at The Ilchester Arms, Symondsbury. Being awarded an AA Rosette and named Pub of the Year are great honours. They are a testament to the passion, dedication, and creativity that every member of our team brings to the table each day. From the kitchen to the front of house, it’s been a true team effort to create something special here in Symondsbury. A place where genuine hospitality meets honest, seasonal cooking. We’re deeply grateful to our guests for their continued support and to our team for turning our shared vision into something worth celebrating.”

Congratulations to the whole team at the Ilchester Arms, we think you all deserve a well-earned beer!
