The Waterman’s Arms at Bow Bridge on the Harbourne River has been recognised as one of the best riverside pubs in the UK.
The Times said: ‘You’ll be hard pressed to find a prettier place for a pint than this — an endearingly old-fashioned pub at the bottom of a wooded valley on the Dart, near Totnes. The tiny garden is right on the riverbank, beside a medieval packhorse bridge, and there’s a patio with a timber-framed pergola that makes a delightful spot for alfresco dining.’
