White Horse Inn prescription service for the village of Litton Cheney

White Horse Inn prescription service for the village of Litton Cheney

Andy and Liz, licensees at the White Horse Litton Cheney run a free prescription “dispensary” service for the village. That is to say, locals order their medication from Portesham surgery and once a week prescriptions are delivered to the pub. Then during opening times, the locals are able to collect their prescription without having to go all the way to Portesham.

Transport infrastructure linking rural communities can be sporadic at times and let’s face it, no one really enjoys waiting for prescriptions. It’s a great community service and which cuts down on some “medication miles” at the same time.
