Tanners’ team a tour de force in the ‘Tour de Palmers’

A TEAM from The Tanners pub proved a tour de force when they won a fun cycle ride organised by Palmers Brewery for National Cask Ale Week.

Six teams set off from Bucky Doo Square in Bridport at midday on Saturday and visited eight Palmers’ pubs in and around the town. The Tanners were first back having made the route in a scorching time of just over an hour.

“The weather was atrocious in the morning and I even thought we might have to cancel, but it cleared up at lunchtime and the afternoon was beautiful,” said Jayson Perfect, Palmers’ Tenanted Trade Director.“We’re planning to run the event again next year and add a family fun ride as well,” he said.

Teams also took part from The Loders Arms, The Marquis of Lorne at Nettlecombe, The Crown Inn at West Bay roundabout, The Three Horseshoes in Burton Bradstock and Palmers Brewery.
