Palmers Brewery have announced that they are to put the Old Swan at Toller Porcorum up for public auction. The building is to be offered for sale on a 999-year lease with a covenant that it should remain as a pub.

A couple who popped into the Marquis of Lorne in Nettlecombe as tourists ended up as the new landlords of the Palmers’ pub. Steve and Tracey Brady worked for more than 20 years at a hotel and restaurant in Oxfordshire that was popular with racing drivers from the Williams Grand Prix team.

People in Lyme Regis have the chance to view options for The Three Cups site. At a public exhibition in The Pilot Boat, Palmers Brewery will unveil proposals for the former hotel and surrounding land. The plans are the fruit of more than seven months consultation between Palmers, town and district councillors.

Palmers Brewery are celebrating after coming home with top gongs at the prestigious Taste of Dorset awards – for the second year running. Members of the public were invited to nominate their favourite pubs, restaurants and local food heroes in the third annual Taste of Dorset Awards.

Plans to revitalise the Three Cups Hotel site Lyme Regis received an enthusiastic response at a public consultation held by Palmers Brewery on 15 September. The event attracted 188 attendees, who left 106 written comments on the options for the Broad Street site.
