The Thimble Re-opens After Refurbishment

The Thimble Inn at Piddlehinton is proving a massive success having reopened after an interior refurbishment.

The result is warm, welcoming and traditional, with some pleasingly quirky twists. Features include a darts area influenced by an old coaching carriage with a padded leather wall, black paint and carriage-style lamps, plus cosy nooks for dining, an attractive bar area and a display of old village photos.Landlords Lisa and Mark Ramsden are thrilled with the revamp. ‘It’s been a great success and very busy with lots of good food, drink and laughter,’ said Lisa. ‘Come and see for yourself and try our delicious new menu.’

The Thimble is the latest in a string of high-profile refurbishments we have made to our pubs in the last 18 months. The biggest of these was at The Anchor Inn at Seatown, which re-opened in spring 2014.
