The Sussex Snowdrop Trust, the Chichester based charity that provides ‘Care at Home’ for children with life threatening or terminal illnesses and support for their families was chosen to receive the donation by Brian and Louise Eveleigh, licensees of the Shore Inn East Wittering.

Dorchester Beerex, held in Dorchester’s Corn Exchange on 6th and 7th February showcases more than 80 real ales and ciders. The festival, now in its 27th year, is run by a committee of West Dorset CAMRA Campaign for Real Ale and Dorchester Round Table.

The Thimble Inn at Piddlehinton is proving a massive success having reopened after an interior refurbishment. The result is warm, welcoming and traditional, with some pleasingly quirky twists. Features include a darts area influenced by an old coaching carriage with a padded leather wall.

Palmers Brewery has launched ‘Barley Mo’, the latest in its limited edition seasonal cask ales. Five pence from every pint of Barley Mo sold will go towards the teams in Palmers pubs and members of brewery staff who are supporting ‘Movember’.

After the great success of Palmers first two seasonal ales in 2014, the brewery is delighted to announce the arrival of its third seasonal brew, Barley Mo. Barley Mo will be a rich, fruity ale at 4.6% ABV and will be the perfect accompaniment to autumn.

Palmers have submitted a full planning application to West Dorset District Council for the multi-million Three Cups redevelopment in Lyme Regis. If planning permission is granted in the spring 2015, detailed preparatory work and tendering will be required before work can start on site.
