Palmers Brewery in Bridport is calling for applications to its new good causes fund. The Palmers Brewery Fund is now open for applications and has £10,000 in its first year to distribute within West Dorset. Local charities and initiatives can apply for cash and awards will be made twice a year.

Palmers raises nearly £30K for Air Ambulance


Palmers Brewery has raised nearly £6,000 for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance flying fund. The Bridport brewery donated 5p from each pint or bottle of its anniversary ale, Palmers 200, to the life-saving charity. During the five years Palmers has supported the Air Ambulance in this way it has raised nearly £30,000.

A flood-hit village pub in Dorset has closed its doors so that Palmers Brewery can repair damage caused by months of torrential rain. The New Inn at Cerne Abbas had to close for 2 months whilst extensive structural work is carried out.
