Palmers Brewery triumphed at this year’s Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) Brewing Business Awards, winning two categories: Best Community Support and Best Individual Pump Clip and achieving runner-up in the Business Awards Overall Winner category.

HRH The Earl of Wessex visited Palmers Brewery in Bridport on Thursday morning [28 October 2010] and started a brew of Palmers Dorset Gold before unveiling a plaque to commemorate his visit. This was the first Royal visit since the brewery’s foundation in 1794.

A bottled beer brewed in Dorset by Palmers Brewery for the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards has won a top accolade from The Labologists Society. Palmers Waterloo was awarded first place in the commemorative label category by society chairman and secretary Dale Adams.

For the first time in hundreds of years, rare fish including salmon, eel and sea trout are able to swim up the River Brit to spawn, thanks to a new fish pass installed on the river at Palmers Brewery in Bridport, Dorset.

Palmers Brewery are offering a top prize of a week’s holiday for four in Dorset to promote their Dorset Gold ale. The holiday is timed to coincide with the 2012 Olympic sailing events, which are being held in the county next summer.

The Three Horseshoes at Powerstock has become probably the first pub ever to be praised by the Michelin Guide for its scotch eggs and burgers. The Palmers Brewery pub near Bridport is a new entry in the 2012 edition of the international food bible.
