The Three Horseshoes at Powerstock has become probably the first pub ever to be praised by the Michelin Guide for its scotch eggs and burgers. The Palmers Brewery pub near Bridport is a new entry in the 2012 edition of the international food bible.

Palmers Brewery raised more than £1,000 for Dorset County Hospital’s appeal to buy life-saving digital mammography equipment. Palmers Wine Store held a wine tasting at the Brownsword Hall in Poundbury in May and donated 10% of wine sales to the appeal. Tally Ho! is the toast of Palmers Brewery after winning the title of champion beer in a Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) contest. The beer won gold in the old ale and strong mild category of the Champion Beer of Britain for London and the South East competition 2010/11.
